Problem in GTMEDIA V8 Finder Meter (V-73HD) After Update -Regd.

Post by rajarsr »

The GTMEDIA V8 Finder Meter V73 HD which I brought recently has a problem. I gave the first update of first released software
( GTMEDIA_V8FinderMeter_20190219.zip ). Immediately after the update the product is not working. When the product is switched on the logo appears and then hangs. The original versions given along the product are mentioned below.

H/W : V1.20- March.01.2019

S/W : V105.5.127 – April.02.2019

So, I kindly request you to give the recovery solutions for the above mentioned problem as soon as possible.

Thank You.

I too had this happen.

Try a flash.bin recovery.

Place a copy of the unpacked software (the .bin file) on a USB stick and rename it "flash.bin"
Power on the unit while repeat pressing the menu button.
I hope this works for you as it did not for me.

The Finder-Meter has a different software in it than the other freesat units and I hope they included this flash.bin recovery.
Rambo / Admin: does the Fibder-Meter do "flash.bin" recovery???

Respected sir,
The problem in the product is due to installing this software (GTMedia_V8FinderMeter_20190219).I have already tried the solution which you have replied. There were only three softwares released for this product in which I unzipped the other two softwares(GTMEDIA_V8Finder-METER_20190328 and GTMEDIA_V8Finder-METER_20190423) and tried to install them but the USB is just blinking and the product displays only the logo.I hope the product works only with the original version which i have mentioned below.
S/W : V105.5.127 – April.02.2019
So, i kindly request you to send the original version for the recovery as soon as possible.
Thank You.

Please what frequencies?
I had some issues like this yesterday too, with weak signals.

Should i pass all the updates in order, or pass the last update directly by going directly to the USB upgrade menu ??

Check that you have the correct LNB setting, like 9750/10600 for your universal LNB.
If you don't you will not get the low band or the high band depending on the seting..

I've just been through the last update ,
and the signal only appears in the Spanish channel frequencies. The French channels do not have any signal, and I can not download the channels. Unfortunately this is a junk device ,I've lost my money for a device that does not work ... I'm really sad 😟😟
Thanks for helping me.

It still sound like you do not have the antenna setting correct for your dish / LNB.
Please list some of the frequencies that you are getting and those you are not getting so we can see what your problem is..

I have a problem in the frequencies of the French channels on the satellite Astra 19, for example frequencies canal Sat package 12012 v 29700 , 12441 v 29790 ,11895 v 29700 ......
Spanish channels frequencies like 10788 v 22000 works but at the same time I can not download channels, when i do the search she write "no channels"
The settings are all correct, and the dish is directed entirely to the satellite Astra 19
Please help me please

I put a file in the device for channels sent to me by a friend, but unfortunately the channels do not work ... unfortunately a weak device or send me a device is already disabled.

Good morning, this method with my finder v8 V-71HD does not work, pressing the back key and turning on the device simply turns on the device, another method that I have tried, to start forced update, press the menu button and turn on the device but when entering In forced mode it remains in a loop with the following message, Usb upgrade! Do not power off! Is there any other solution?

If the finder is working, use the usb upgrade menu to update the software.

You can only update with software for that unit, not software for other finders.
