firmware 105.5.151

Hi,
I just buyed V8 Finder meter.
The SW version reported was 105.0.151, HW version is 1.20
After receiving it I did a backup then I updated fw with GTMEDIA_V8Finder-METER_20190521.zip.
Now it reports firmware 105.5.150 so in fact it was a downgrade.
Someone can post 151 fw update please?

If you did a backup you may find the other software on your USB stick.

The backup offers only Database backup, not all fw.
It's the same?You can explain further if you know insides.
I asked for the 151 fw binary, not to argue with no result with some 'smart fellow'.
So unless you have what I need keep your advice for your friends.

Owen just wanted to help. Maybe he does not have a "V8 Finder Meter". I think Owen has a V71 Finder, the predecessor of the V8 meter. With my V7S receiver I can do a backup of All Code (Firmware), User DB (Channel List) and User DB & System Data (Channel List + System Files = CS Lines ect.).
Maybe you were just too hasty and overlooked these options. Unfortunately, I can not give any information, because I have no "V8 Finder Meter".
You can even test it if you have other options for data backup. Use the arrow keys left or right to select in backup mode.

I just bought a V8 Finder meter.

The in the menu
displayed SW version was 105. "0" .151, the HW version is 1.20
After I received it, I have one
Backup created (unfortunately incomplete) and after the update, the firmware 105. "5" .150 displayed, so it was actually a downgrade.
(Why a downgrade? The 5 in the middle is higher than a 0)

Because of the different firmware version, you can ask here in peace on the board.

I also bought this V73HD meter
I have installed
HW v1.20
SW v105.5.151 from 24.05.2019. - this version is not available for download.
However, I can't backup my firmware. I can only save the file with the program list.
Are you also unable to make a copy of the firmware?

You are correct.

The newer software does not have the "All Code" USB Back up option that the earleir software did.
The last time I did a USB "All code" USB back up was with the sample unit they sent me prior to release of the units.

The May 21 2019 sofware is the .150 version.

I may have missed the .151 version, or it is a factory only version that some units do come out with in between on web site updates.
The other option is that they released a version and withdrew it, like they did with some of the V8 Pro software of late.

This may be why your unit now shows 150, as you had a factroy release version.
