Satfinder Meter restart issue

Post by John1 »

I am trying to scan 33. East on meter finder and it gives fail . Signal is there but on multistream frequency 12597 v 10058 got freezed and will be restart after awhile.

Note: multistream frequency 12646 doesn't show signal on it. Working perfect on my Android TV box

Is it software issue or hardware.

Appreciate your help

Try entering the frequency and SR in to the TP menu and scan from there.

Many models do this.

I think it is that some data for that satellite / TP matches the code for the "end of file" for the user data inside the unit.
Freesat have made changes to correct this before.

I found that if the satellite was already scanned in the file, it does not get stuck.
It is when the unit tries to add this new TP that it gets stuck.

If you can load a user file that already has that TP / channels it should work.

It may also be something with these newer multistream formats.
I have heard that Freesat units do not work with the new ABC multistream TP on Optus D1@160e.
They do work with the multi stream on Intelsat19@166e.

I don’t have user file containing Eutelsat@33.east
