UDF Invalid File (V-73HD)

Post by smith007 »

Hello,

i have recently bought the GTMEDIA V8 Finder V-73 HD.
H/W : V1.20- Mar 11 2020
S/W : V105.5.158 – Mar 11 2020

When I backup the Satlist (UDF) and Upload the same File
back to the Unit I got an "Invalid File " error.
(Using USB Upgrade/userdb).

This relates to the fault when i try to use Ali Db to change the Channellist.
I thougt first the new Ali DB was incompatible with the Unit but the above test says
that the unit itself does not recognise itself his own unchanged file.

Does anyone have the same issue or a workaround?
I only see that the only software was Alid Db.
Any alternatives around there?

PS:
Stick is FAT32 an has 8Gb of capacity.
And i know the procedure of ALI DB an the Template.
Using this one: viewtopic.php?f=51&t=12658

Regards Chris

Before you use it, you must load GTMEDIA_V8FINDER_METER.h, then load the DB, you can send me your DB file to see
FREESAT brand change GT MEDlA

Hi,

sri for late Answer.

The latest Fw from Oct 22 2020 has fixed the error.

Now you can save and reload the userDb.
Also the Ali DB-Editor created Files works now.

And yes i know that I must load the Template GTMEDIA_V8FINDER_METER.h at first. ;-)
The real Bug was that when you use "USb Backup" on the Device itself and immediatly reload the Backup with USB Upgrade-> userDb
you get the Error "invalid File".

This was now fixed with the latest FW.

Has nothing to do with Ali Db-Editor. The saved File when Using USB-Backup was corrupted every time you use it.
And no it was not the Stick itself.

Long story short. Make the Update and everything is fine.

Regards
