Why would you require a amplifier.

The voltage of 12 volts goes out to the v8 pro to power an antenna amplifier

The GT Media units only output 5v.

I assume you have the modern V8 Pro2 unit.

No the product is GTMEDIA V8 Finder Pro satellite signal finder S2X / S2 / S / T2 / T / C / ATSC-C I use it for mounting tv antennas,
and it is important that it has a 12 volt output to power an antenna amplifier

Is it when you carry out installations/repairs , some clients have (amplifiers) because they have no/low signal from there nearest transmitter.
This may point to, that the user may have got the wrong aerial, water in the cable.
My under standing is that the finder should find a signal from the transmitter, when you put a frequency into the finder, without having a amp in the way.

Moved topic to Finder forum.

I will check what my Finder Pro is outputting for antenna power. 5v 12v 9v????
Mine has always over currented when I turn on antenna power for my powered UGO car antenna.
The Finder-meter did work OK with the same antenna.

I would just use a POWER INSERTER.
I don't see how GTMedia can make their Products satisfy THE WHOLE WORLD!
Their Products are AMAZING at what they DO!
And especially at the PRICE POINTS!

Here it is. I can send these images 100. Comparison with Finder xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Same price range. The difference is nice to see. Amiko has been tested with professional devices and the deviations are small. See the comparison for 26K. The GT V8 Pro can't measure and lock it at all. This happens for all signal strengths below 38dBuV. It is simply useless. See also MER. GT V8 Pro gives totally wrong readings. Sensitivity, selectivity, measurement, very poor, unusable. Are you satisfied now?
I don't know how to reduce images.

You have a very bad signal in xxxxxxxx for example the MER has to be between 23 to 27dB
You have to improve that installation on channel 25 and channel 26 you only have noise

It is important here that the level of these signals is correct. That the MER values are correct. It does not matter here whether the MER is 3.6 or 27. These results were also measured on better devices. I intentionally put pictures of one strong and one weak signal. And all of these devices had no problem detecting a weak signal next to an adjacent strong signal. Only this GT V8 pro doesn't detect it at all. Moreover, when all measurements show incorrect data, it does not matter whether it is DVB-T2, S2 or C. We simply cannot call this device an instrument, but a kind of receiver and nothing more, and it should be the most instrument. I simply threw money into the wind with that purchase. So if anyone is reading this, I do not recommend this GT Media V8 Pro Finder.
If you tell me that the MER of the constellation is not important, you have already told me everything
