Good afternoon.
I have my Gtmedia v8 Finder 2 stuck on the black screen. It doesn't turn on and the charge light stays on with the charger connected. I've tried to recover the device and nothing. Can anyone help me with any tips or procedures that I haven't done yet? It is without the primary voltages. Can someone give me the voltages of this device? (Green)
What do you mean "is without the primary voltages"?

Is the battery still alive and outputting the correct voltage?

Yes, I have battery voltages 4.7 volts and 12 volts from the charger on the main board and on the LCD board, however, the LCD does not turn on and I do not have the other voltages. Type 3.3 volts from eprom.

That sounds like a 3.3v fail in the unit.

There is a software / hardware thing that turns off the unit when the battery gets low to protect it.
This stays on until the charger is connected.
Have a look for that.

I would have though the battery should be 3.7v
4.7 sound a bit high and that also may trip the protection.

OK. But even with the battery disconnected, the board does not turn on. Obs. Connected to charger only. I already left the device completely off (battery and charger) to try to reset the board, but the problem continues. It would help a lot if I had the electronic schematic of the board. Unfortunately I think I lost the device, and I will be forced to buy from another brand. I am very upset because the device did not last even 90 days.

If you have another battery you can connect, try that.
4.2v sound very high for a 3.7v battery.

It will not power on with no battery as it will think the battery is flat.

I and some users have had recovery after leaving the unit with no power for a few days.
Have not done this with a finder, would need to dis the battery for that too.

There si the RS232 method to try.
The RS232 connection is beside the component you circled in red, marked GND TX RX.

OK. I'll try the method with rs232 cable and post the result here. Thanks. Thanks
