I would like to get a clear answer, is it possible to set the LNB WideBand correctly with this V8 Finder 2 meter ?
clear answer: no, it's not possible to set the LNB WideBand correctly with V8 Finder 2

What value to choose because there are no settings for WideBand ?
There are no settings for wideband LNB because tuner of GT Media finder 2 is not wideband...

As already written, GT Media Finder 2 meter, tunes IF frequencies in range: 950 MHz. 2150 MHz.
LNB WideBand TELEVES 747402 has an output frequency range 290 MHz to 2340 MHz.
Therefore, even if it were possible to insert an OL frequency of 10.410 MHz. it would then be impossible to tune all the channels...

Hi

From the spec for that LNB, there are TWO outputs, one for H and one for V.
To get V polarity you need to use the other LNB output.
This is done for use with multi switches for multi users use of the same LNB.
For use with one box or the finder you could buy a H / V combiner switch, or just swap the cable as needed.

Oddly the spec for the output says the output frequency is from 290-2340 MHz
Set top boxes and the finder start at 950MHz
I hope this 290MHz is a typo and should read 920MHz.

Frequency range GHz 10,7 ... 12,75
Output frequency range MHz 290 ... 2340
L.O. frequency 22KHz GHz 10,41

It's not a typo:

10700MHz /12750MHz covers a bandwidth of 2050 MHz. (12750- 10700 = 2050)

290 MHz / 2340 MHz covers a bandwidth of 2050 MHz. (2340-290= 2050)

290 MHz / 2340 MHz = wideband tuner...

Wideband LNB covers the entire satellite band in a single conversion without making a distinction between low band and high band.

950 MHz. 2150 Mhz = standard tuner...

Well, that's strange, because let's take the Satlink ST-5150 meter which has a frequency range of 950-2150 MHz and supports LNB WideBand !

The best way around this issue, is to (bin) this wideband lnb, and purchase a cheap (Universal) lnb, if it just 13e channels that you wish to receive, also your finer will work as it should.
As others have said the said lnb has two outputs, H & V, works through multi switches.

It depends on what kind of wideband LNB Satlink ST-5150 meter refers to : wideband LNBs existed even before universal LNBs, but have nothing to do with current wideband LNBs.

In my opinion, even if on the LNB Satlink ST-5150 meter it is possible to set the right frequency OL 10410 and therefore the transponder frequencies will correspond to the real ones, it will still be impossible to tune them all, starting from the lowest transponder frequency, from 10700 upwards.

If you have also Satlink ST-5150 use it with wideband LNB which we are talking and see if you can tune on Hotbird trasponder 10758 V

The point is that V8 Finder2 has the output freq. 950-2150MHz. That's it. LNB wideband has output freq. 290-2350MHz.
Even if you set LNB freq. 10450MHz you are not able to set TP freq. below frequencies that are translated below 950MHz and over 2150MHz,
e.g.:
LNB 10450MHz, TP freq 10760 => 10760 - 10450 = 310MHz BELOW 950MHz (Finder2 does not support below 950MHz)
LNB 10450MHz, TP freq 11760 => 11760 - 10450 = 1310MHz OK (it is between 950 and 2150)
LNB 10450MHz, TP freq 12760 => 12760 - 10450 = 2310MHz TOO HIGH (Finder2 does not support above 2150MHz)
Hopefully, it is clear.
I don't know what a chip is in the V8 Finder2. Maybe output freq. 950-2150MHz is limited by firmware only.
I have seen a video on Y.tube with the title 'Configuring the GT Media V8 Gold Satellite Finder for Terrestrial Digital Amateur TV Reception', user G8YTZ.
There is an older V8 Finder Meter that has output the same as V8 Finde2 950-2150MHz but the finder supports freqs below 950MHz.

GTMedia has V8 FInder Pro also. This one supports terrestrial freqs that cover lower freqs for Wideband LNB 290-950MHz. Unfortunately, Finder Pro does not support LNB 10410MHz. In this case, I am sure it is a firmware limitation, not the hardware.

Thanks, but it seemed to me that I already explained more or less the same things in my previous posts.
