New Update issues

The recording button no longer functioning with new update v283.
Timeshift working perfectly with the press of pause button.
I would also like to suggest some features to add on the new firmware.
1. An online firmware upgrade feature which can be done once the decoder is connected to internet and there's a new firmware.
2. An auto update channel list when new channels are added to take care of the need to always scan a whole satellite for a new channel.
3. An app store where we can download more apps or probably a web browser so we can browse with our stb.
4. A theme menu for which we can choose from a number of themes.
5. A support for more video files like mkv, flv and some mp4 with other resolution. Also with the playing of video files, one cannot access the fast forward and reverse options beneath the video without pausing the whole video. Will be glad if you check that too.

The firmware there is not for combo

The link that was given, is for the (X8) receiver, which you say, you have in your other thread.
Just checked on (Aliexpress), there looks like two models with the same name, one silver with one input( X8) / one black with two inputs (X8 COMBO).
The said software, i believe goes with the (X8) model.

The UHD had this auto update feature.
It was annoying.
With feed channels it would delete the old feed channel and add the new one for the same TP / SID etc.
This removed it from favorite lists etc.
Another feed TP I get changes the city for the set of 8 channels. The auto update would remove the other city set and add the new ones, even though the old and new channels had different SID's.
Be careful what you wish for.
They added a on off option in menu to turn the UHD auto update off.

It's not working.
No button when pressed records .
Interestingly, the timeshift is working but i can't record

Check that your USB is OK.
There are issues re FAT32 / etc as to the format.

The USB pendrive is ok. How come it's able to perform timeshift but not record?

Maybe it is that it can not do time shift and record.
There was an option to back date record from the time shift, ie save the file you already have in the time shift file.
There was a option in the PVR menu for that.

with the same firmware version ,it is ok.
So what channel did you do recording, when you press the REC key,what is the pop message on the screen?

Nothing appears, it doesn't respond at all
