GTMEDIA V8 Meter v-73HD

Post by claudio012 »

Hello everyone,
I have two problems with the V8Finder Meter.
1) When I switch from Europe satellites region 73° E 0°E to Atlantic 0° W 61° W all previously saved channels are canceled.
in central Europe it would serve from 60 ° W to 60 ° E.
2) In setting the "USB update" and "BackUp USB" settings are not highlighted. How do I make a BackUp of saved channels.
Regard Claudio

If you need to use a mix of two regions I suggest you make your own sat list, as it sound like the box is factory resetting when you change regions.
The USB menu options light up when you have a USB plugged in.
If they do not light when you do have a USB in then check you have a fat32 format less than 32Gb.

Once you insert a usb key the menu commands became active.
I used a 4Gb USBkey no problem, I get the V8Finder_Meter.udf file.

but It was unreadable to me.

Someone know an editor to open it?

If you go to this site

https://filext.com/file-extension/UDF
and move the .udf file into it
you get a readable file. (a litlle bit scrambled)
useful to copy and paste on a excel worksheet.

Same Problem here in Central Europe. I have here positions from 34,5°West to 68,5° East.
So i had to make my own list with the AliEditor. Much hard work i see. Not ready yet, but i think with the editor its possible...

WHEN you do a backup ,a .udf file is created .
udf (UpDateFiles are bin files) so the best editor is the AliEditor.

Btw ,you can insert any Sat position and do the setup(Right click).

When you set a range and you have all channels saved DO a backup and rename it or will be overwritten!!!
so you can set the new poll of sats already scanned the old data will be saved as olddata.udf and you can have the second zone saved
