Filesystem format

Post by mektek »

Does the v7 only support the fat32 filesystem? I tried a new 128gb card and it supports xfat and ntfs - it is not recognized by the v7 when formatted as xfat.
It would be disappointing to find that the maximum size possible is 64gb - what I am currently using formatted as fat32.

I use a hard drive NTFS formatted. You can try to format your SDcard to NTFS (theoretical limit is about 8PB), but still will get files split on 3.9Gb.

The sd card association formatter would not allow ntfs, only exfat. I tried using the windows format and it appears to be OK. I have the 128GB microsd in a card reader.

Windows perfectly formats any USB flash drive in NTFS.
