You can get the correct newest V8 Super Firmware here:

http://freesat.cn/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=10

Download the correct file then do this. First uncompress the file.

1. Rename the BIN file to flash.bin
2. Unplug the power from the box.
3. Put flash.bin on a USB stick and put it in the receiver.
4. Point the remote at the receiver and hit Menu over and over then power the box on.
5. Keep hitting menu util you see "USB UPDATE! DO NOT POWER OFF" on the screen.
6. Wait for the box to reboot. Do not power it off until it reboots.

That should fix it.

You must flash ROM with RS232 cable again by computer.

What is the correct cable to use. The v8 has a 3.5 mm rs232 port. I've seen different types of plugs online.
