This is a misleading thread. It really needs to be cleaned up. GTMedia should step in so guys dont buy this Combo receiver thinking it will do 4:2:2 right out of the box.The hardware does not support 4:2:2.It would be nice if Delirium quits posting this as to misinform people in thinking this receiver does 4:2:2..
I too have a GTCombo and yes it does 4.2.2
They have installed a second media player that you can select to open and view 4.2.2 feeds on your TV from the GTCombo box.
It is that second media player that has made this work, so yes the hardware now does support 4.2.2
If you look at the picture of the channels, they are not flagged as encrypted.
My GTCombo has autorolled channels, but this weekend rolls were slow. I think there is high demand on the server.

Ok....
Regarding 422 channel who is the video quality??? Does it look slow??? Or looks normal???
On most of the feeds I get on TP's with SR of 7500 or 7200, Yes all is very good, just like other feed types.
My local area has new 422 feeds with a SR of 15000. These just started a few weeks back.
The unit opens these, but with my TV it is jumpy.
GT Media played a TP recording I sent them and it played as normal.
I have asked if this feed is 4k and as my TV is 1080i it will not show it. Maybe their TV is 4k.
As far as I can find the GTCombo has no user output setting so you can match your TV. It seems to output PAL only, but to what top resolution?
I have asked about that too, as all other units have that setting and that would fix the jumpy feed if it is 4k.

Ahh I see. This is a first I have seen having the player installed as to streaming to a computer. Thanks delirium and others. I`ll be ordering one of these.
? for delirium. feed wwe is up here this side of the pond and its a fairly lo bitrarte feed.21-22 mbps. I am curious what the bitrate you are seeing with the feed on your side of the pond?. Do you have a computer set up to check this?. Thanks for the input.

Just because channel is not flagged as encrypted in the channel list does not mean the channel is not encrypted.
Sometimes the encoders do not correctly set the encryption flag in the PMT.
This is a BIG problem with BISS autoroll. The developers of GTMedia should change this behavoir in the software. Instead of checking PMT, they should check the TS header for the scrambling bits. And enable BISS autoroll based on the status of the scrambling bits in the TS header field.

Yes there is a channel on Intelsat19@166e that always scans in a FTA but is said to be powervu.
With your expretise on TP headers, do you know what sort of TP this is?
Optus D1@160e 12421V24671.
I find this data info in the TP record file.
This TP will only scan in and be "Seen" on my UHD, all other units do not show any signal.
The UHD shows two TP lines in the TP menu, one with T1 and the other with T17.

1st off Thanks for this topic the 422 with the GTCombo looks to be very interesting an will be getting one soon.
Owen, PAL only, what about the users in N. America where we have NTSC here this is something that's needs to be addressed by the GTMedia team, I do have a high end 4K TV here an it does play PAL but not right, or is the GTCombo only meant for Europe?
also I do not see any firmware for this receiver or section is this something that is done online?
also here ABC an CBS both are 422 mpeg-4 so I have been really watching this tread to find out how they will play on ure new Combo, if they play fine an smooth I will order some up asp
