Check that your box is connected to the net so it can go to auto BISS.
Providers here are only including the CW for the first few minutes, so if you find the feed after that there is no CW to find for auto BISS to work.

I have a V8UHD on latest ORIGINAL firmware how come I never see the "calculating biss" message or whatever it's called anymore ?

It will only show when you are on a BISS channel.
Check the net is connected.
