Auto resolution detection

Good afternoon, I have purchased an ifire 2 with intent to distribute the boxes to my clients if the boxes prove successful. But before I begin to buy in bulk I am testing the box and taking feedback from the client. I really wish the software had an actual epg, but that's not the point of this post. I recently ran into an issue where one client had a TV where the resolution I believe was limited to 720p. The current settings for the box is set to 1080p, I had to take the box back because there was no way for me to factory reset or to change the resolution without connecting the box to another supported TV. So I am making this request in hoping you guys can implement a feature that Auto detects the clients TV supported resolution without intervention.
