[GTMEDIA V8 Finder 2] Loop function & Online-Film-App

Hello Dish-Fans,

today i got my GTMEDIA V8 Finder 2.

I did an firmware-upgrade to latest one. No issues!

What an amazing gadget

Then i´ve found an WiFi-USB Dongle which fits perfectly^^

Now i am very interested, how to watch those youtube videos.

I connected to my LAN, did an youtube search in the Gt Finder, but i simply didnt find out on how to start the video. See attached pics below...





...When the URL receive is completed, the V8 will show again same pic as above... The video didnt start... -.-

Then i am very courious on how the loop-function will work.

I have an Wavefrontier T.90 Toroidal Dish, mounted on an 1m60 satellite ground mast in my backyard, and want to receive the following satellites:

1. Astra 2F / 2G (28.2° E),
2. Astra 1KR/L/M/N (19.2° E)
3. Eutelsat Hot Bird 13B/C/E (13.0° E)
4. SES 5 (5.0° E)

I got brand new :

4x PXQS-SE LNB Quad 0,1 dB PremiumX
4x PXD-41 DISEqC switches Premium X

I do also have an old, analogue satfinder with the beep and the VU-Meter

And now im gonna get my xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx^^

My Coordinates are:
Latitude: 49.xx° N (49° xx' xx")
Longitude: 8.43° O (8° xx' xx")
City: Domstadt
Country: Germoney

Now i like to know, how get the best start.
Should i 1st start with only 1 satellite, eg. Astra 19.2°E, without any DISEqC switches, the GTMEDIA V8 directly connected to the Astra LNB?

Or what is the benefit of the "Loop-Function"?

Youtube changes the API a lot and stops working on devices
Loop-Function is not important, it's just curiosity
You must look at the signal values

But sadly that didnt answer my question about the loop!

I am an systems engineer, working now for over 30 years in the IT, so I AM very interested in ALL functions of my new gear, especially this "Loop Function"!

Is there any detailed explanation about that loop? - Then please share the link! TY!

2nd: ok, i understood the yt API issue...

any chance to change that by myself? - or will that be fixed in an future fw-upgrade? - How about to implement own yt API's, like we can do with e.g. jDownloader?

so let me guess:
If the Online-Film-App works as intended, will I automatically see the selected video after receiving the URL? Or is there anything else to do?

Loop-Function

Another user had this with yuotube on a finder model.
I tested and found this too.

I think it is rights protection.
they see what device you have and block content they do not want you to copy.
They can control and stop your phone / PC from copying (recording) but can not stop the GT Media unit from copying.
So they think about it, the moment of black screen, and then decide they are not streaming to that device.

Loop shows the signal level of the selected TP's.
Best use I see for this is to monitor for feeds on multiple sats.
It would have been useful if it had an alarm.
I use a finder as a slave to my main STB so I see the spectrum of what I am tuned to.
