GTMedia V8 Finder Pro 2 Data & Time

Post by MrToy »

Hi

08.01.2026 I set the date and time: Date 2026-01-06, Time 01:56. Today 11.01.2026 I went to the date and time settings menu and Data and Time have not changed and continue to remain Date 2026-01-06, Time 01:56. That is, time does not pass and the date does not change. Use GMT Off. Firmware v5.6.88.9.377 (10.12.2025).

Is this a bug?

It depends on what you consider an error.
When the device is turned on, the clock runs; when it's turned off, the clock doesn't.
It must be harder to find something that works properly on this device than to look for errors!

What a disappointment!

P.S. And these are additions to your posts:

This is very strange...

Please tell me, does this finder have a spectrum analyzer screen recording function?

Did you complete all the button press's for time entry?

No, recording is only possible via a video capture card.

I just turned on the finder. The date and time remained as I set them three days ago.

I'm trying to get my finder pro1 running, battery flat, maybe dead.

Will look at the time thing when going.

Question: What are you using time for on the finder?

I had noted in the past that the finder knows what the time is from the satellite time it gets, It knows what time it is to display the correct EPG. Same with DVB-T.
An incorrect date will affect internet use, but then Youtube has blocked most content being displayed on the finders as it can not control copying of that content in the finder like it can on Android / windows. Only some live news youtubes will play past the youtube menu.
