It would be time to rewrite the firmware for the V8 Satfinder Meter. In the meantime, there have been many suggestions for improvement and it would be nice to pay attention to these. Thus, the V8 Finder Meter would finally have earned the name for a real Satellite Gauge.

Re: V8 V8 Satfinder Meter - Update to V8 Satellite Gauge
The thing I would like is for it to run the same fucntion as a "Tone" sat finder meter, the type with the moving needle and volume knob.
To set up a dish I still need a tone meter as well as the finder, the finder is just a power soarce at that point.
I then fine tune using the finder meter and its picture and signal levels.
I used the finder meter as a small TV on my last camping trip.
I was very impressed that the battery lasted nearly 5 hours.
