A viewer/editor for the backup V8Finder_Meter.udf file

Post by Mauro_sat »

Hello everybody,

someone can suggest how to open and edit the file obtained on a USB key after the backup procedure?
I get the V8Finder_Meter.udf file but it is unreadable with notepad app on Win7OS.

The backup is obtained with a V8 Finder Meter sintonization from HotBird 13E in Italy, from my centralized SAT antenna/dish system.

Going to the site
https://filext.com/file-extension/UDF
and pasting the file on it I get the transcodification on readable format (a little bit scrambled).
I can see on it the satellite list, the TV channels, the providers,
(but not the TP frequency associated with channels - it could be useful).

At the end of file there is a repeated string:
"1 Fav group 2 Fav group 3 Fav group 4 Fav group 5 Fav group 6 Fav group 7 Fav group 8" of significance not clear to me...

With a copy and paste operation from site to notepad I made the file
V8Finder_Meter.txt (attached) , but it has to be formatted and pasted on an excel worksheet to became usable.

Does exist a viewer/editor to get a formatted file or a way to import it as a worksheet file?

Thanks in advance

It could be useful to attach also the original file V8Finder_Meter.udf
obtained directly from V8 Finder

The list of fav group are the names of the favorites lists.
You could rename these to movie , news etc and tick the flag in the Fav cloume for the channels you want on that list.
