I just bought this finder

When i locate the satellite and look up channels i find some and and there encrypted is there a file too load into it that will help with that

You need 10 posts minimum to get a softcam.key file to help with that but I don't think it works on the GTmedia V8 finder, its purpose is to help you adjust your Sat Dish and LNB to increase the signal strength.

That softcam.key file is for the GTmedia Digital STB Receivers that you connect to your TV (not the satellite finder). The finder should play (Open/FTA) channels though.

The finder range does not do any encrypted channels, the codex etc are not in the firmware.
