Please, I have this message on my GT Media v8 finder 2 ,
" LNB short, please, check", and it's can not work. Someone can bring me some idea about? Thank you very much in advance.

As the other user has said, it would have been better to post in the correct section.
In the mean time, use the (Search Box) (Lnb Short) top right, there will be threads about this issue.

A short circuit can be caused by damaged cables or an antenna socket. Check the F connector; it could also be a failure in the finder itself.

That coax port that you use to connect to lnb to dish on the meter is very flimsy . My has broken twice on the inside causing a short . I had to take it apart and re solder it . The second time round I soldered the s##t out of it and now treat that part with much respect !

Many of the larger components on GT Media units are not correctly soldered to the board.
I have lost a USB off my GT Combo from that and a friend lost the LNB connector on his GT Combo too.

PUSH ON connectors are the way.

Was a time when GT Media sent a push on connector with the finders.
