x8 combo remote control problem

hi, does anyone have problem with remote control on x8 combo? remote control works (checked on different reciever), but on my reciever it work occasionally - one time for a week - and rest of time not (just afer purchase it was ok).

May be the receiver is not seeing the signal from the remote.

but is it just hardware problem? I have updated software and it is still the same condition. How it can not see the signal if remote control is next to it? Where is the IR reciver insine located?)

Look at the IR LED in the end of the remote through a digital camera.
You should see it flashing brightly as you press buttons.
Compare that to other remotes to see if it is fully bright.

If it is weak, check the batteries, the battery terminals etc.
