I bought a V8 UHD combo receiver and live in the US.. I hooked up an indoor antenna to the (left)antenna coax connector on the box. When I click install in main menu, I toggle down to the ATSC portion.and hit autoscan. I'm shown a default value of 450.00mhz for frequency. When I click search. I get "no program found!" as a result.
I've never been given a frequency option before on any other ATSC device. It usually just scans automatically and populates a list of available station. The antenna I'm using was hooked up directly to my smart TV before this and caught channels no problem., so I know the antenna isn't defective.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The V8 UHD does not work for US. The OTA signal used is ATSC. The UHD is for Europe signal DVB-T (ATSC-C (J.83B). Re: Not finding ATSC channels. on V8 UHD combo receiver
It says right on the packaging that it recognizes ATSC-J.83B, as well as DVB-T/T2. I'm also given an option in the install menu to search for ATSC channels. However, the process is very unintuitive, gives an option for a specific frequency, and I haven't been able to yield any results.

It says on the box that it supports ATSC, and ATSC is featured on the install menu of the device. The instruction manual that referred me to this forum even stated that it supported ATSC.

Search for the frequencies in your area and enter them manually then search for the channels one frequency by one

The absence of synchronization between device information and the help book confuses me.satuser2024 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 2:54 pmIt says on the box that it supports ATSC, and ATSC is featured on the install menu of the device.
