Re: GT COMBO NUEVO FIRMWARE PROBLEMA CON MOTOR
I think I understand what you are saying.
You have a 8 port DiSEqC 1.1 switch and a 4 port DiSEqC 1.0 switch.
I find that using the USALS dish motor works best through port one, as that is the default if the LNB power is cut for a moment due to power surge / over current protection.
After the software upgrade, did you re enter your latitude and longitude?
That maybe why it has power when directly connected, but still does not move.
The 4 port may work on the V7s2x as that unit may be set for DiSEqC 1.0 while the 8 port needs DiSEqC 1.1 setting used.
It may also be that the 8 port switch has port one burn out. This happens if you short the cable one a port of the switch, they become "ON" all the time.
If you burnt out another port, the signals from that port are present over any other ports you use.
You can test a switch by setting it to port one and test for power on all the other ports, then port two and test for power on port one.
If you find a port is "ON" / burnt out, just stop using that port on that switch.
On the USALS motor there are two buttons and one LED.
The LED shows green for power and yellow flashes for DiSEqC commands.
The buttons can pressed to move the dish.
That way you can see if the dish can move without tripping the over current in the Combo box.
If you are using both the 8 port 1.1 switch and the 4 port 1.0 switch, it is best to use the motor dish on just the 1.1 switch.
I have found some LNB's use a lot of current on power on and the power surge from powering on the second 1.0 switch AND the motor / LNB trips the over current protection and resets the 1.1 switch to port 1.
If you have a tone type finder, use that to see if power is getting through the switches and watch the DiSEqC commands being sent.
Good luck.
