If you have standard GT Media software, you can change software to upgrade via USB and the USB Upgrade menu.
If you want to downgrade you use the forced recovery.

If you have M.rs software and want to return to standard GT Media software you need to use the rs232 method.
For that you need a rs232 cable.
If you have a modern PC with no D9 RS232 port you will need a USB to RS232 adaptor cable.
