This problem with Youtube is from the Youtube end.
Because Youtube can "see" the device type you are using and they can not stop that device from recording the content, Youtube will not stream most video to that device type as part of rights protection.
If you find a video with no need for rights protection, it will play, like a news channel live feed.
Maybe the other video server has the same issue.

I doubt it.
The issue is with Youtube and software can not be changed to provide rights protection in the finder, you need a system like android in the GT Combo for that.
