Hopefully GTMEDIA will reply to answer your question. I would assume the X1 would work in Brazil as I think this box works in South Korea.

If your ATSC 3.0 TV signal is broadcast in HEVC/AC-4 it should work, but I think Brazil elected to use different codecs that are not currently installed on the X1 box.

I just purchase a GTMEDIA Converter X1. When going through the setup and menu of the box. The picture quality is good. It is a little bit slow when changing channels. The DVR could be better like make it where you can do schedule recording like where you can set it to record once, daily, weekly or new. That would be a great feature if you can do a firmware update or programing update to give us that feature. If this can be done that would be great. I will attach a picture of what my other converter box DVR schedule recording looks like as a reference.
I agree, I asked for help on how to do this, and the reply ignored my questions and told me I could not record YouTube, which I referenced only as how to use the DVR function; not to record YouTube. I don't think they understand DVR requirements.

Nextgen TV Converter X1
1. After booting up, enter the HD player, and you will be prompted to check the device. You will see the green words Converter X1 device is ready.
2. After opening the channel scan menu, select full channel scan to search, or select manual channel scan to search. You can search for ATSC1.0 and 3.0 programs
3. The program information will show ATSC1.0 or 3.0
4. After connecting to the Internet, you can go to the broadcast application to view the broadcast information
5. You can use DVR to record channels to your USB drive. The same frequency point supports 5 programs to be DVR at the same time
6. Press CUSTOM on the remote control to perform quick DVR and switch audio tracks and subtitles
7. The DVR file path is:
U disk:\Android\data\com.zva3.mobile.litetvandroid\files\hdtvdvr
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ATSC1.0 programs, recorded by DVR are in ts format, which can be played on computers and ordinary players
ATSC3.0 DRM programs: DRM certification requirements, in the definition of receiver products, DRM encrypted content is not allowed to be played on other devices, including computers.
ATSC3.0 free programs: As for free atsc 3.0 content, we will consider whether to develop a transcoding function to achieve playback on computers and ordinary players based on demand
Offline DRM programs: Offline playback mainly relies on the drm license included in the machine firmware
Network DRM programs: Apply for a license online and then play
What about QAM-B? How can I manually add QAM channels, for example?
