GTMedia X1 HD Converter - NO RCA out

Hi GTMedia folks,

This is Eugene in the Pacific Northwest U.S.A.

Hey, I read that the NEW GTMedia came out on U.S. market
on January 5th by other source.
The GT X1 HD TV Converter for OTA!!!

I thought that was cool and about to plan on buying it later this year
IF it fits in my budget.

I notice there's something missing.

GTMedia keep forgetting to ad RCA out!!!

There are folks out there ( old folks ) may still be using analog TV!!
Like myself with RCA in.

How would you solve this???

As for me, I'll wait for 6 months for another X1 box with RCA out.
This NEW X1 box just came out a month ago. But it only has HDMI OUT!!
:( :(

Hope all helps with answers!!!

You gotta make GTMedia GREAT AGAIN!!! U.S.A.!!!
:D :D

Thanks,
Eugene

A viable solution is to use an HDMI to RCA converter. These devices are quite common and allow you to connect modern equipment that only has HDMI outputs to older televisions that only accept RCA connections.

There is no logical need for RCA for an ATSC 3.0 tuner because RCA can't be used to view 1080p or 4k. Using ATSC 3.0 only makes sense on a 4k TV.
If you need a low cost ATSC 1.0 tuner/DVR you can find them online for $35 that have RCA output.

Hey CAJE,
:D
I heard of HDMI to RCA, but which ones or which brands that would work
with the GTMedia X1 HD Converter???
I've seen other HDMI to RCA made by different brands, and they NOTE that
it may NOT work with all products with HDMI out. ?????
Should I just get a cable with HDMI to RCA instead of
a BOX with HDMI to RCA by running RCA cables??

Also I'm aware that some or most HDMI to RCA box or cable
does NOT path Closed Captioned ASTC to see on TV.
That's what I heard from National Captioning Institute, NCi here in U.S.A.

What do you think CAJE???? :?:
