GT MEDIA V8 FINDER 2 Out of Range

Post by crazyturk »

Hi,I bought the V8 Finder2 device. I wanted to tune the antenna with the USALS motor attached and I set many satellites to USALS. However, I could not tune the Hispasat W30 satellite. When I set the Hispasat W30 satellite to USALS, the device also gives an out of range warning. The engine does not move. How can I solve this problem.
USALS mode works up to 26.50 W satellites.
Out of range warning for satellites after that

My location Turkey Ankara
Motor Antenna
Local 032.70 E
Local Latitude 40.00 N

In your second photo you see that green button is for "Set Location".
this is your latitude / longitude.

With you been North of the Equator, your (Longitude) may be West.
Have you checked (dishpointer) for the said details.

Just checked with Google my information is wrong, (sorry)

With the same latitude and longitude settings, Hispasat 30W gives out of range warning with Satfinder, but I do not get out of range warning with my satellite device and I can transmit to Hispasat W30 satellite without any problem.
Perhaps this is a simple problem that can be solved with software.

I tested lat long on my Finder2.

There is a program error in the software.
The maximum longitude I could get is just less then 60 degrees.

I entered the same settings as crazyturk and I get "Out of range".
For 30W sat (lat set 40n)
If I enter 029.3e long OK.
If I enter 029.4e long, out of range.

For 180e sat. (lat set 40n)
if I enter 120e out of range.
121e OK.

Engineers please fix.
The V8 Finder2 sets location to satellite as out of range incorrectly low, at a maximum of 60 degrees longitude.

Can a satellite zone option be added to the settings menu as in Satfinder V8?

The best way is to delete the satellites that are not in your sky and add any others you need.
That makes the list smaller.

This error is not corrected by shrinking the list. It's all about the angle of position. On the V8 first version there is a section on satellite locations in the settings. In this section, the hispasat satellite can be set to include the positioner. With fix software this can be added.

Your best option is to use DiSEqC control for that lower satellite.

Hello, we cannot find a signal from Hispasat in Turkey. I regret buying the device.
Very slow. Waiting for an update.

With an 80 cm satellite dish you will find the Hispasat satellite if you know its location

My position is Latitude 40 and Longitude 32.7 degrees.
However, satfinder warns out of range at these locations and the engine does not move.

You can still use the DiSEqC motor control for those satellite that the finder says are out of range.

With GT Media V8 Finder I can tune to 30W Hispasat satellite without any problem, but with GT Media V8 Finder2 I get an out of range warning.

Sorry if I'm posting here, as this isn't the correct section, but I wanted to point out that the GTMedia_V8FINDER_PRO is having the same problem.
I wrote to them directly, and they said I had to update to the PRO2 version.
I wasn't convinced, so I asked them if they were sure of what they were saying.
After the fourth re-sending, they said it wasn't necessary.
So I asked if they could fix the problem. After four messages, I still haven't received a response.
They don't seem serious, and they don't offer support for their products.
Sorry for posting here, but I wanted to let you know who we're dealing with.
Best regards
