"LNB Short, Please check" message

Post by tpr72 »

Merci d'avance.
Excellente soirée

Try fully charging the battery.
There may be a fault inside the unit.

Is this a V8 Finder2 grey/black or green?

Try updating the firmware to rule out a hardware problem.
Could there be a piece of live wire left inside the F connector that makes contact with ground?

This is possible if there's a short circuit in the device; for example, as mentioned above, a fragment of the central wire from the TV cable remains inside and shorts the central and ground contacts. However, the short may not be in the connector, but on the device's board itself. If the device is out of warranty or the warranty is irrelevant, you can carefully open it and carefully inspect the part of the board near the connector. Pay attention to the "barrels" of the electrolytic capacitors (if their top end is convex or has spread along the special notches, replace them!), any leaks or traces of shorting (if any, wipe with alcohol and dry!), and any other contaminants. If all else fails, the fault may lie within an active element (diode, transistor, microcircuit, etc.), in which case repair is unlikely. Contact a specialist at a service center.
In any case, good luck!

The short circuit is from the installation
If it were the tuner, it would give you a short circuit if the antenna connection
