Maybe they need to add the finder 2 to the list of options for unit to make it work.

I think the editor checks what box it is from.

There was an older editor for the .bins before this one.
Try that.

My unit is stuck in transit due to over load of the shipping in NZ.

Do you have the latest download for the V7 V8 editor?
It was updated for the finder pro.

Feralkiwi,It doesn't work for finder pro. Found: V7S2X and V7S5X.

This config. is for V8 Finder Pro, not for Finder 2: probably GT Media leaves upgrade for it in the next weeks.

The Finder 2 has an important limit on the stored channels: few more than 1400 TV channels, from two satellites, not so much.

Hi, recently I bought GT Media V8Finder2, dump files GTMedia_V8FINDER2.bin _DB and GTMedia_V8FINDER2_DB_SystemData.bin do not open in any way in DBEditor.exe, at least that's what I found.

you can put the file GTMedia_V8FINDER2.bin _DB to check if it contains channels, in the DBEditor

You can also open the GTMedia_V8FINDER2_DB and GTMedia_V8FinderMax_DB files by selecting V8 Pro 2.
