Hello, I have a problem with the gtmedia v8 decoder, no image on the hdmi socket disappeared first I used the euro socket now and it went out. The decoder works "normally", you can turn it on, switch channels, but there is no picture. After disassembly, apart from discoloration, everything is ok.
Anyone got an idea.
Thank you in advance

The surface mount connections on the HDMi connector may be loose.
There can be a lot of mechanical force applied by the HDMi cable that can bend the connector off the circuit board.
I have had this with USB connections
As you now have it working, be careful not to twist or bend the HDMi cable connection, as that may open circuit one of the solder surface mount connections again.
If you have a very flexible HDMi cable, best use that so force is not so great.
