Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
Problems found in the V8XS: It does not have an automatic 22 Khz option, it does not recognize port 8 in Diseqc 8X1, in the satellite list, Satellites below 30°W, when manually selecting one of these Satellites, the receiver automatically selects another one that I did not select for channel search, I can't manually select the Satellite I want. If I'm watching channels that aren't Satellite channels that open on L4c4m, turn off the device, when I turn the device back on and put it on the channels of Satellites that open on L4c4m, the channels don't open. I need to turn off and on the Satellite channels that open via L4c4m to open the channels. The worst thing is not having Biss autoroll.

Re: Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
Another terrible and absurd problem: The V8XS has been turning on by itself, I turn it off and a long time later I see it has turned on by itself.

Re: Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
Hi
I do not have a V8XS to check with.
The option for 22kHz auto only shows if you select a LNB low Frequency of 9750/10600, or similar universal LNB.
Other LNB freq options do not need the auto 22kHz.
I have seen one GT Media unit where you could change the 22kHz by clicking OK or left right on it in the antenna setting menu.
Re port8: That option only is in the DiSEqC 1.1 setting.
Are you saying that the unit only allows for disabled, 1, 2 -- 6, 7?
Many unit at the start of search will select the first "Ticked" satellite on the list, or the current used one.
Any satellite to be used for antenna menu set up or search needs to be "Ticked" in the satellite list first.
If you get to the search menu you should then be able to change the selected satellite to be used for search.
If you do not have BISS auto roll, I think you are using M.rs software.
M.rs software needs the net AND a ccam account to do auto BISS.
You must have the net connected as you are using Ccam.
Have you tried cable internet? It maybe the delay as wifi connects stopping the Ccam connection.
As for the unit turning on, that may be a function of your TV / HDMI ARC functions, or you have set a record timer.
The other option is a power off / on that restarts the unit.

Re: Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
First I found out that the problem was in the device's electrical source, I changed the source and it solved the problem of the device turning on automatically. Second, I solved the problem with the list of satellites, deleting the Satellites that do not have coverage where I am and leaving only the Satellites that have coverage in my region on the list. This time I can select and search the satellite I want without the device selecting another one. The LNBF is in the universal Ku option, which only provides an on/off option at 22Khz. No auto option. The diseqc problem I will still try to solve.

Re: Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
You can set up two satellites, one with 9750 and 22kHz off and the other with 10600 and22kHz on.
Please is this true?
When LNB frequency 9750/10600 is set in the antenna menu, 22kHz "Auto" is not set automatically?
If you can please check this after a reset as well.
If so I will report this as a known fault to GT Media.
One more suggestion.
Did you load your user channel list before this happened?
Have you tried resetting and making a new list and after a reset do these same things happen.
I have had channel list corrupt and do things like this as well.
As you said, delete all the satellite not in your sky. I always do this first before starting any new channel list.
With the GT Combo I found that deleting the extra sats AND the Cable / DVB-T lists, the channel change was faster as the unit looks through less of a list.

on v8xs the signal quality bar is low , the sat botton on remote doesn't work no sat selection. diseqc for 1.1 does work and the unit now and then reboots.

Re: Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
Yo tengo el mismo problema que se reinicia constantemente y a veces se queda bloqueado hasta que lo desconecto de la energía pero he observado que es cuando el internet falla ya lo probé por cable y por wifi hace el mismo error cuando el internet es intermitente.

Re: Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
What we miss the most about the new V8XS is Biss' autoroll service. This function is very useful and essential nowadays. There is also a lack of more information about the type of channel signal. Type if it's DVB-S, DVB-S2....What kind of video codec, audio codec, FEC, modulation, channel video resolution. And the signal bar percentage information is displayed with much lower values than other Gtmedia receivers.

Re: Gtmedia V8XS Problems.
Check that you do not have any PVR recordings set.
Also if the power supply to your house goes off / on, even for just a few seconds, the unit will reboot to ON.

If the receiver is automatically selecting a different satellite when manually selecting a satellite below 30°W, it could be a software or firmware issue.said:

It does not look like a soft/firmware issue. Did you have the same problem? If so, how did you solve it?Alimpragn wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 2:55 amIf the receiver is automatically selecting a different satellite when manually selecting a satellite below 30°W, it could be a software or firmware issue.said:
