GTMedia V8 Finder Pro 2 - Hotbird

Post by andreabix »

Hi,
I just bought a V8 Finder Pro 2(P), HW version V2.00, firmware version V5.6.88.9.368
I connect it directly to my universal LNB with dish pointing correctly to Hotbird 13°E
Go to menu section "satellite" and select:
  • "Hotbird 13B/13C/ 13.00E"
  • LNB Freq = Universal(9750 - 10600)
  • Frequency Channel 14: 11013H 29900 (or any other frequency supposed to transmit)
  • DisEqC disabled
Stregth shows 85%, Quality 0%
If I press either "TP Search" or "Blind Scan" result is always "No Program found!"
Already tried with a different universal LNB, same result.
What am I doing wrong? Or I have received a faulty Finder?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Look at the spectrum, you should see values even if they are low, it may not be well aligned, if you have intensity power it is measuring
You can update the firmware

With you saying that your dish is set up correctly to 13e, what was the signal readings on the satellite receiver.
