Blocco decoder gtmedia v7pro

Salve a tutti dato che il mio gtmedia v7 pro non cambiava più i canali ho tentato un reset di fabbrica. S'è bloccato in una schermata iniziale.
Come collego il mio portatile al decoder per flashare il firmaware iniziale? Grazie.

Try different USB sticks, as some may not work.

Here are my notes on flash.bin recovery

The GT Media instructions on forced recovery are here.

flash.bin recovery is done like this.

Place a copy of the unpacked software (the .bin file) on a USB stick and rename it "flash.bin"
With the USB in the unit, power on while repeat pressing "Menu" on the remote.
The unit should reload the software.

Also other users say that you must use a USB stick, not a card holder etc and that stick must be 32Gb or under.
Use the rear USB port on units that have two ports.

I have had units that will not recover.
Try using the same software as was in the unit when it crashed, not the new update software.
You must use the correct software, ie that for the V7HD for the V7HD etc, not software for any other freesat units.

Try even older software as the file for flash.bin.

Look at the LED in the USB stick. When the TV shows the message "USB Upgrade, do not turn off" you should see the LED on the USB flash as the file is loaded.
The USB LED should also flash a few times as the unit first powers on and looks at it.
Also users have said to use the rear USB port for this on V8 units.

New information: Users are reporting that naming the file "Flash.bin" with a capital has worked where "flash.bin" has not. This is with the Nova units mostly.

I found that a USB stick with a lot (more than 30+) .bin files on it, my UHD unit would not show the new software file in the menus.
This suggests that having too many .bin files on the USB stick can also be a problem.
I moved most of the file into a folder and it then showed the file.
Keep only one or two files in the main directory.

There have been user that recover their unit after removing the wifi board, or just cut the 5v power to the board.

Devi aprire il decoder e collegare il connettore seriale,te lo devi creare uno,poi ti devi procurare un pc con porta seriale e seguire la procedura:
1. metti su una chiavetta usb il firmware rinominato flash.bin
2. metti la chiavetta nel decoder spento
3. apri il software segli la porta com il firmaware senza rinominato e dai ok
4. accendi il decodere partirà l'operazione....aspetta che finisce

Ti chiedo,percaso prima che ti succedeva questo il decoder che problema ti dava? si piantava su un canale e non andava avanti? anche se il menu ed altre funzioni te le faceva fare?

Il decoder si bloccava su un canale. Diciamo che che prenotava il nuovo canale ma non lo cambiava. Ho pensato di fare un reset di fabbrica ma più si è fermato su una schermata e non va piú avanti. Nella schermata da il sn con tutte x. Nel frattempo vede i vari routers internet vicini.

Il fatto è che anche se ripristini il firmawre con il seriale il decoder non funziona correttamente,rimangono i problemi che hai citato!
A me sembra un problema legato a quel numero di serie che manca,sto aspettando qualche aiuto da GT Media...speriamo

un altra cosa tu usi il decoder con la card tivusat? quella celeste?

Io uso semplicemnte per vedere il digitale terrestre. Vorrei comunque ripristinarlo.Ho a casa trovato questo adattatore da usb a seriale dovrei aggiungere un altro cavo da seriale a usb? Cioè va bene un cavo da usb a usb collegato al portatile e alla porta usb del decoder?

questo adattatore dovrebbe andare bene devi costruirti il cavo da dentro al decoder all'adattaore

Il X8 Combo migliore del V7Pro, è stabile al 100% e non solo ha anche l'entrata ethernet oltre al WIFI integrato ha anche l'entrata card e costa anche qualche euro in meno rispetto al V7Pro.

Ti quoto in pieno. Come quasi tutti con il v7 pro ho avuto il problema della lettura card, che ho risolto. l'x8 combo ha il cardreader meno ballerino e oltre alle caratteristiche che hai citato io ci aggiungerei anche l'uscita scart, utile per chi ha vecchi tv e sicuramente molto meglio dell'uscita AV del v7pro, che richiede un jack con precise caratteristiche. Se devo trovargli un difetto è il telecomando,ma tanto quello del v7pro funziona anche su x8combo,addirittura funziona anche quello del v7hd e parlo del primo uscito, quello ancora marchiato freesat.
