V8 finder 2 only for satellite signal??

Hi to everyone
I am an electrician engineer and i had some problems with tv signals in greece
Some customers told me that they dont have goood signal to their tv.So i bought the v8 finder 2 to check the signal an the quality .
I can 't operate the v8 finder ..is it only for satellite signals??
This i want to do is to connect the tv signal cable into the v8 finder 2 to see if i hhave good signal
I believe that i bought the wrong item
