[help] want to buy new receiver
hi, i am trying to get back on sat tv after a few years of not having a chance to install a dish where I moved.
Is there a guide to learn about current GTMedia satellite receivers, specially budget friendly since I would be interested in more than one. I looked around for some but some said something about MARS and i am not sure if that is like a monthly sub or... well, any help is welcomed

Re: [help] want to buy new receiver
Give us more information, what satellites / channels do you wish to view.
Depending on what you want to do, just using the GTMedia receivers to receive channels with the information built within the software you can
get a lot of channels.
You could set up your receiver to a single dish pointing just to one satellite, or put your dish onto a motor to get a lot more satellites.

Re: [help] want to buy new receiver
C band from 135w to 91w, interested in basic fta and pvu and biss.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: [help] want to buy new receiver
The V8X / V8UHD receiver's should meet your needs with normal software, (MARS software is for the KU band in Europe) plus you need to take a sub.
Most of the Powervu / Biss keys will be within the software.
Have a look around the forum, there will be threads about the said receivers and using them within the (C band).

Re: [help] want to buy new receiver
All Bally channels on all sats were updated to PV+. There is no hack for. GTMedia or others will not work.
