Re: gt media v8 finder 2 missing 14/18 volts
Hi,
1) There is no need to uncover tuner to measure LNB voltages, they could also be measured from outside by inserting a 0.5/1 mm rigid copper wire inside the center of the F connector.
2) DVB-S also works with 14-18V voltages, so it seems impossible to me that DVB-S works and DVB-S2 doesn't.
If what you write is really like this, it would seem more like a firmware/software problem than a hardware problem.
If 14-18V is missing due hardware failure or a defective component, finder should not work anyway, or if it works only in DVB-S, LNB is powered by another source.

The regulator supplies voltage if there is load

Re: gt media v8 finder 2 missing 14/18 volts
LNB voltage is present even in the absence of load/absence of LNB, I just checked/measured on my Finder 2 (green/blue edition)
If necessary I can provide photographic evidence.

Sorry but I can't help you more, it seems that your finder is broken at the hardware level but in this case I still don't believe that it works in DVB-S and it doesn't work in DVB-S2 as you wrote, it seems impossible to me.mitko 20050 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 9:55 amThank you guys but the problem remains, I tried with a load but the voltage stays around 7 volts, I also tried several versions of the software with a forced restore, it didn't help.
You should contact whoever sold it to you for a refund or repair under warranty, but I know that in these cases it is very difficult to obtain something especially for shipping costs.
I only buy low-priced things from China hoping that they won't cause problems in the future, because if they break down it's a waste of money.

That voltage deviation if you use DTT may be normal

Re: gt media v8 finder 2 missing 14/18 volts
Sorry, what does this have to do with anything? Since GT Media Finder 2 is only DVB-S DVB-S2 not DVB-T...

Re: gt media v8 finder 2 missing 14/18 volts
I assume that I have a fault in the circuit of the DC/DC convertor for 14/18 volts. Can anyone help with a schematic, photo or measurement guide?

Re: gt media v8 finder 2 missing 14/18 volts
Check the S8035BE regulator
Pin 1 its value is 12 V
Pin 2 is the output

The advice was very good, but it turns out that there is no such chip on the board. The one with 14 pin has no marking so I can check it too.

Hello,
I have a solution to the problem, I found the DC-DC regulator. Measurements show the same input and output voltage of 7.4v.
the regulator is S35B /STI3508/
Analogous - MT3608, SX1308, SDB628
