101w 4180 pixelating and freezing?

Post by Ivn101 »

If posted in wrong chat, admin please move.

Some of the channels on this open transponder are momentarily freezing and pixelating.
SS is 91 Q 74 so I don't think it is that.

Happens on V8X, GTCombo and GTXCombo.
Any one else getting this?

It messes up my Perry Mason viewing

5G interference possibly !

I have those same issues on many TPs across many sats .

Even with ss and Q strengths like you are posting .

Is your issue at one time of day?
I have two local satellites (Optus D2@160e and OptusD1@152e) that move out of location and back each day.
At present I loose signal early evening on 152e and many people north of me loose 160e as well.

I have seen advice to techs to NOT align dishes at some times of the day as the satellite is off location then.

You may get some correction for this, if that is what is happening with your satellites, by moving your dish with the motor if you have one, but that will not track the satellite for altitude, only longitude.

That C band ring that cpr43 linked to helps.
The added ring can be as high as, to a line from the outer edge of the dish to the same side outer edge of the LNB opening (LNB not the scaler ring).
Any higher and it will block satellite signals.
