.bin missing

Greetings.... I downloaded the firmare for a GTX combo 8K and noticed that after extracting to a folder, there is no .bin How do you update with no .bin?

You do not have to extract a file, just update as it is.
I made the same mistake, when updating.

Original GTMedia FW??? No need to extract. Use the .zip file as it is downloaded.
M.rs FW= If updating from Original GTMedia FW you can use the .zip without extract for update
If already on M.rs FW you need to use the .bin. Do not use the .zip

Thanks for the info. I have the uhdv8 and v8x and have always input a .bin to update. Don't have m.ars as I am not sure if it's better or worse. Not a lot of info to made the right decision. So, when the receiver asks for the updated data, I input the .zip file I downloaded?

I guess I was looking for the directions to save data, files etc... like my other receivers

Good day..... received my gtxcombo and installed the firmware on line. Scanned G16 (99deg) and ABC 4:2:2 is pixelating and glitching.I was hoping that receiver would get that feed. Also, had to blind scan. is there any way to scan just a particular single freq/sr'?

If you don't have a good signal because there is no good power footprint, the only solution is to increase the size of the satellite dish.
You can do a TP search that only searches on one frequency
