GTMedia V8 Finder 2 y DirecTV

Post by César D. »

Saludos.

Please what finder2 model, the Green or the Grey?
The later version Grey has a 7.2 large battery while the Green has a small 3.7 that causes issues with connections.

You should be able to use the same LNB antenna setting as you use in the set top box.
If this is a DishTV motor antenna, they use a in house DishTV only control format.

Hi. I just saw your reply... A thousand apologies. It's the grey one, which claims to have a long battery life.
H/W Version: 2.13.4 / Model V8 Finder 2 (P) / SW Version: 2.4.84.9.74.
I have not been able to get any signal with the DirecTV antennas (they are already working and well adjusted). I don't know what else to try. They are fixed antennas of 60 and 90 CM in diameter. Thanks for replying.

Hi,

are you referring to DirecTV USA?

Specify the name and position of satellites you want to receive and which transponder frequencies.

Specify what type of LNB you have, what frequency band it covers, and the local oscillator frequencies ( LO frequencies)

Finder use DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-S2X for C and ku Band signal. Direct TV use Ka V DVB-S2D. Finder is not design to lock or see that signal.

That was the reason for my response, but first I wanted to be sure that it was Direct TV USA.

Also I don't know if all Direct TV frequencies are Ka. band or if Ku. band is also used.
