Post by kladovchk »

GT Media V8 Finder Pro 2 and T2-MI. What can you say about this issue? Can this problem be fixed? Thank you. viewtopic.php?p=160509#p160509 I raised this issue back in February, but it has not been resolved. Although these channels are registered and working on receivers from other companies. The problem has not been resolved in the new GT Media V8 Finder Pro 2 application (04/30/2025) viewtopic.php?f=71&t=29928 . Thank you.

It could be a problem of bad signal or bad configuration

No, you're wrong. This is related to the software. The software needs to be fixed, the problem is in the software.

You have not put the signals like PWR, Mer, etc.

There is a lack of power, if you look at the spectrum you will see that it does not comply with the regulations to have good quality

Why did you decide that there is not enough power? I have an old receiver (combo), so it receives T2-MI channels from these satellites. I'll show you an example on the Astra 4A. Why are there 18 (30) channels in this receiver, and 6 (18) channels in the device? Where are the other 12 channels? The problem, as you write, is not in power, but in software. Prove me wrong. This problem is not only in this device (software), but also in the entire line of GT Media receivers. Thank you.

Very simple, you cannot have a Strength of 77% and the Quality be higher than 94% thanks to the device fixing those errors that improve the Quality.

And what should I value for strength and quality so that these channels are registered in the device? It turns out that the receiver was released later than the device can receive T2-MI channels, but the device is not on the latest software.

Strength must be higher than Quality, I suppose that due to your location there is some kind of interference that causes it to be a low value
The Strength is where the data packets are transported.

With the V8Finder Pro in Spectrum you can check the real power in the final shot must be greater than 50 dBµV, the minimum is 47 dBµV

What do you say to that? The GTMEDIA V7 Pro receiver. All these values are conditional. There is only one antenna, and the channels are not registered. That's a fact.

I know that this is off topic, but just to show with a V8X receiver with Mxrs software, you are able to scan in ALL channel, DSNS do not decode.
The point is, the signal, here at my location i get ( S 93% - Q 74% ).
