I made an amazing discovery.
It would be interesting to hear from anyone who can explain it somehow.
The gist of it is this.
23.08.2024 new firmware appeared for GTmedia v8 finder pro 2
GTMedia_V8FinderPro2_Release_V362_20240823.bin
Its weight is 8192 KB.
And on 05.08.2024 a new firmware appeared for xxxxxx
Its weight surprisingly coincides with this weight and is also 8192 KB.
!!!???
What kind of strange coincidence is this?
These are different devices, as I understand it. But the firmware is the same down to the byte!!! (8,00 МБ (8 388 608 байт))

Maybe a clone and the GT Media units or set file size.
Use FexHex hex editor and do a compare.

The weight will always be the same because it corresponds to the 8MB flash memory that most devices have.

While unlikely, it’s theoretically possible for two different developers to create firmware files of the same size due to similar design decisions. This could happen if both developers independently chose to optimize their firmware to fit precisely into an 8 MB memory space.

It’s not uncommon for different devices to have firmware of the same size. The 8MB size likely corresponds to the flash memory capacity used in both devices. To confirm if the firmware is identical, you can use a hex editor to compare the files.

It makes sense that both firmware files are the same size, they likely both use 8MB flash memory. To be sure they’re identical, you could compare them in a hex editor byte by byte.

Once, I tried to troubleshoot my grandfather's ancient TV signal, and after endless frustration and cable wiggling, I realized the antenna was facing completely the wrong direction. It felt like navigating the internet using xxxxx! I spent hours on the roof.
