Freesat V8 Finder

Post by Santi1951 »

gracias amigos

Just check with (dishpointer) that you are pointing the finder in the correct direction.
Also if you can and is safe to do, put the finder along the arm of the dish, you may be getting readings from 21e/16e.

saludos

It may be easier to connect your receiver to find the satellite you require, then adjust the dish.
A lot of users, have had issues when using these finders.

I use a tone type finder in the LNB cable with the V8 Finder.
Check that you have the Finder on an active TP.
If you have the finder on a band (upper or lower) and polarity (H or V) that has no signals on, you can not then find a signal.

I have in the past used a TV /set top box on a known FTA channel with the sound up and then moved the dish slowly until I heard the channel.
You can do this with the finder too.
Just check you have the correct LNB low frequency set.

Also check your cable is OK.
