Diseqc 1.2 e V8uhd

Post by Shadowmagepc »

Buonasera a tutti.
Ho un V8uhd con l'ultimo M.rs, lista canali di Giorgio Settings per i sat 13, 16 e 19.
Motore compatibile diseqc 1.2 ( no Usals).
Sapete aiutarmi? Grazie.

1- set USALS Longitude and Latitude for your location

Make sure all 3 satellites are set to the proper location

Go to the first satellite in the Menu Settings section. Make sure you have a good working frequency set

You will have No Signal
Now change in the satellite setting to Diseqc 1.2
On the pop up menu look for the satellite either to the left or right until you get lock.

Now SAVE the position

Repeat the same for the other sats

When you press DiSEqC save position it saves the position in both the motor and the UHD.
You need to set a different position number for each satellite in the UHD.
That position number can then be used by other Set Top Boxes as the motor has saved it too.
That number can be 1 to 60 with most STB.

As CAJE said, use USARLS first to find the satellite, then change to DiSEqC and fine tune and save, but you say your motor does not do USARLS.

Try saving the position and then restart the UHD.

Thanks to everyone. But, how can I set a number for every position? I can easily do it in Enigma2, but in M.rs I don't see any number.

Yes

I just found my V8X box that has M a r s on it and yes there is no option for entering a position, and of note the USARLS menu also offers save position when USARLS does not use positions.

My box is on 2022 software.

What version do you have in your UHD?
Maybe an upgrade?

CAJE do you know if there was an upgrade in the software to add position entry in M a r s?

I just checked my Funcam box, V8 Ultra, and it too does not allow for position entry.
Funcam is M a r s by another name.

Ok, I choose Usals even if my rotor doesn't support it, and now it works. Probably, now I need fine tuning : I will try. Thanks again!

If you allow it, it has several parameters, you have to disable the limit

With USALS, when on the satellite, when ready to scan, put the curser on (USALS), Press OK, other options come up.

I just tried that on V8X 2022 software m a r s, disable limits and it says "OK".
Then try for position number entry and still none.

Same with Funcam software

The issue is in the options menu for DiSEqC, there is no way to enter a position number or tell it what position to move to.
Oddly the USARLS option menu is the same as the DiSEqC options menu

OK

I setup a few satellites in my V8 Ultra / Funcam (m a r s)
I marked some as DiSEqC Motor control and opened the motor menu and clicked on "Store Position"

I then saved the channel list (Menu / USB / yellow for Upload / Upload Channel list).
I then changed one more satellite to Motor control and press "Store position"

I looked at the channel list files in notepad.
Any satellite not "Stored Position" will be assigned position 64.
Any satellite I have clicked "Store Position" will be set the next unused position number.

You can see in the screen shots, that the satellites have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and after I set the next one, 6.

I do see a second satellite position in the line of things for each satellite that is still all 64.
I wonder if the box is using the numbers from the first satellite position as where to store and the second set for operations, as Shadowmagepc says it is not working the dish.
Or the issue is the software is not sending this 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, number position to the motor.
I do see some 22kHz tone commands being sent as I press "Store Position" so maybe it is sent.

Will try to change and reload my list, but my motor dish will need rewiring (switch positions / multi switch) for me to test it, and all my positions are set in larger numbers.

Can you confirm what you are trying to do, is it that you want to set up your motor just to view three satellites 19e/16e/13e.
What make of motor do you have, what are your signal levels, are you missing transponders/channels from your satellites.

I have a motor with diseqc 1.2 ( I don't know what brand it is), I'm using channel list from Giorgio's settings, only for 13-16-19 E because I'm new about M.rs, and I don't want to make a mess. If I select diseqc 1.2 in motor settings for each satellite, positions are not correctly stored : dish doesn't move. If I select Usals, dish moves to right position : I don't know the reason, because my motor doesn't support Usals. But it works. Signal levels are good. I don't know if I miss any transponders, the channels I've tried are ok.

When you start to set up these receivers, depending on what satellite you start with that becomes number one on your satellite list.
So if you start with 19e that becomes No 1, 13e No 2 , 16e No 3 and so on, so if you do it this way 19e No 1 / 16e No 2 / 13e No 3 and so on.
For me i have satellites from 42e to 34w, 42e No 1 / 39e No 2 / 36e No 3 / 28e No 4 meaning from my location my satellites are from left to right.

With the list that you have would have been made by the said team using (USALS), so against the three satellites that the lists have been made for, go to each satellite, put in your (LONG/LAT) details, the receiver should ask you to save these details.
When you Press (SAT) on the remote, you should get a list of satellites that you have stored into the receiver, with you only having three, which will be
Astra 1 (19e) / Eutelsat 16a (16e) / Hotbird (13e), they may not be in that order, depends on how the said team made them.
You can (download) a channel edit, from the forum, were you can change the position of the satellite plus move the channels into a order that you want.
When you get better at using the receiver, do you wish to add other satellites, check (flysat) to see if you can receive other satellites in you area.
To change a channel from another satellite, Press the (SAT) button on the remote, go to that satellite, your channel list will come to the screen, move the curser to the channel required, then Press OK, Press OK again, the channel (INFO) will come to the screen, while the motor is moving to that satellite of the channel selected.
BEFORE YOU START MAKING ANY AJUSTMENTS, SAVE ALL INFORMATION TO A USB, Insert USB into the receiver Menu / USB / OK / Press the Yellow button the remote, Upload, then Action.
From your location, i think you could get the following satellites 39e / 9e / 5w / 30w, which can be viewed for the keys are built within the software apart from the channels at 39e. Check out (flysat) the (multi transponders) at 5w and 9e there are a lot of channels for Italy.
