GT7 Doesn’t Fit on TV Correctly

Post by florenewilliams »

Anyway to fix this? There are no display options in the GT menu besides video output but that doesn’t have any options to address this. This is on PS4.

If you are using the AV output, try the options for resolution, 50 / 60 Hz..

Also check output setting, 9/16, auto, 4x3, 4x3 letter box.

then also some TV's have settings for displayed size.

Hi florenewilliams,

This is a common issue when the GT7 output doesn’t match the TV’s aspect ratio. Since the game itself doesn’t offer advanced display settings, here are a few things you can try:

Check your PS4 display settings:
Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Video Output Settings and make sure the resolution matches your TV (e.g., 1080p). Also, check the HDMI settings and enable “Automatic” if it’s not already selected.

Adjust your TV settings:
Many TVs have an aspect ratio or picture mode setting like “Just Scan,” “Screen Fit,” or “1:1 Pixel Mapping”. Switching to one of these usually fixes overscan issues.

Safe area adjustment:
Some TVs have a “Screen Fit” or “Zoom/Scale” option in the picture menu that lets you scale the image correctly.

If none of these work, you might need to update your PS4 system software or GT7 patch, as newer updates sometimes fix display alignment problems.

Hope this helps!
