Freesat V8 Finder have a Problem w/t Lasted Firmware

I have got fast support from service@freesat.cn. He said my unit is genuine from freesat then He sent me new firmware for testing.

New firmware is working fine.

Could you attach that firmware to a post here please for others with this problem.
You will need to attach it in a .zip folder.

I broke on purpose my v8 finder , to test recovery software sent to bonuss.It works very well. Congrats to GT Media sw. developer team!

Try loading the new software that is listed on the download page.
A fix is supposed to be done in this software.

Using last firmware I have a message: File doesn't match with this box

Tested 2 new firmwares, including FREESAT_V8_Finder_20180324.zip

This is the official firmware working fine... I did the backup before upgrade last firmware.

All new firmware only accpets using recovery mode (renamed to flash.bin). Don't recognize any firmware using menu tools, except the attachment.

Then, to work my settings antenna again, I need to recovery again the original firmware using recovery mode again (flash.bin).

The upgrade only using recovery mode (flash.bin). Using menu tools don't apeear the option / not recognize the freesat_v8satellitefinder.bin

I don't understand...

The backup original firmware I have the own serial number. Using recovery tool (flash.bin) with new firmware, I have another serial number and not working satellite instalation...

M8 , your unit is copy of v8finder.Look closer at the pictures posted on second page of this thread.
Even "FREESAT" logo is different.I tested your backup on genuine unit.It works , but changes the serial number.
Try to do a progressive upgrade.Do not jump from version 7/11/2017 to the latest.

Then, the way is only my money back again...

I'll contact Aliexpress about a lot of clones here in Brazil.

3) help to take a photo about unit SN to us.

I asked my factory engineer to check the unit issue ASAP.

If I want to buy and commercialize MarSat V8 Finder just I talk to my sales person at Freesat AKA GT Media and they build it for me. Anything I want. That is called "branded products".
This is done as marketing and you want to advertise something not related with the factory. Also called "generic"

Is like when you go to a supermarket here in the USA like Walmart Kroeger, Ralph, Publix ,WinnDixie etc and buy aspirin, cereal, butter mostly everything with their own brand.
They don't manufacture e, they just ask the main brand to make them ...for them with their own name. And They sell it a little cheaper than the real brand, product is the same just different label. And because they buy large quantities the discount is larger hence bigger profits.

Now IF it comes from the manufacturer it should be all the same, the chasis or logo should change only

But if it is a clone (copy of the original brand) that some else made it. I dont think it would be compatible. Just the minimal difference and the file should not be taken. as it is happening

Please check that you have a genuine Freesat GT Media V71 finder.

Lavadora Please explain more what your problem is.
Do you want to down grade your software?

Forced upgrades on the older V71 are done by renaming the software .bin file as flash.bin on a USB stick and pressing "Menu" on power on.
Check first if you have a genuine Freesat unit as Freesat software can brick the clones.
