v8 finder list of favorites

Hi all
I have a question that I would like to be resolved if it were possible, in my sat finder v8 I do not know how to access the fav button to include a channel in favorites, the button I see it in the channel list is gray but I do not know how access the many thanks for everything

If you press the OK button and bring up a channel list and then press the blue button you will see all the lists..
To add favorites save your data file and add favorite using the editor.
You can also load user files from the V7 units into the Finder as it is bassed on the V7HD unit.

hi,
i recently purchased the V8 V-71 HD Finder,
on the manual it states theat to add a channel to the Favorites, "PRESS THE FAV Button", which dose not exit on the keypad!, even it is not listed in the manual on the layout of the device.
meanwhile the Fav icon is shown on the channel list screen beside the red/blue/yellow/green icon, what is funny you can not reach it as there is no Gray button for Fav to access it.

To save your user data file go to the menu / USB Backup and select user data and SSD.
This saves the file to your USB stick.

Then down load the editor from the download page and open it and then open your user file.
Set the editor to "V7" when that question is asked.

In the editor you can enter numbers in the FAV collum for the favorite you need.

The other option is to load the same user data file into a V7 unit and add your favorite there.

but please you did not answer my second part of my question for how to access the Fav button on the device it self, in my picture above, there is no Fav button?

There is no fav button on the finder. The unit is not set up to do that, but the parts of the V7HD software for Fav are still in the unit.
It would be good to have had Fav on the finder, but the only way is to set up your Fav lists in the editor or on a V7 Unit.

As I said before you can access Fav lists by pressing the OK button to bring up a list and then press the blue button to access the Fav and Sat lists.
